Volvo V40 Cross Country Revealed [VIDEOS]

The all-new Volvo V40 Cross Country is the third variant of the V40 to be revealed at next week’s Paris Motor Show. The V40 Cross Country features a more rugged style than the standard model.

Unique details include sleek silver roof rails, contrasting front bumper, honeycomb mesh grille and upright day-running lights, contrasting sills and contrasting rear bumper with integrated skid plate.

The driver also rides 40mm higher compared to the standard model, while the wheel choices are available up to 19-inch.

The most efficient engine option is the 115bhp 1.6-litre D2 diesel with CO2 emissions at a class-leading 99 g/km – meaning there’s no road tax to pay. Fuel economy is up to 74 mpg. The D2 engine is combined with a six-speed manual gearbox and start/stop function.

Top of the range 254bhp 2.5-litre T5 engine is the only model with All-Wheel-Drive as standard. 0-60mph comes in 6.0 seconds while combined fuel consumption is 34 mpg.

Other engine options include a a 177bhp five-cylinder 2.0-litre D4 turbo-diesel, 150bhp 2.0-litre D3 and a 180bhp 1.6-litre GTDi T4 petrol engine.

Prices will be announced in early October, with first deliveries expected to start during January 2013.
