V8-powered Volkswagen Amarok by MTM to debut in Geneva

MTM is well known for their tuning programs for different cars under the Volkswagen umbrella.

Their latest project is based on the Volkswagen Amarok and is called V8 Passion.

Instead of modifying the 177bhp 2.0-litre turbo diesel, the German tuner has replaced the stock engine with a 4.2-litre V8 TDI producing 410bhp and an impressive 930Nm of torque.

0-62mph takes just 6 seconds and the top speed is 138mph. Not bad for a pickup truck that size.

MTM also replaced the leaf springs with with Panhard rod combined with air springs, ensuring rock solid axle guidance. Disc brakes are now also on the rear axle. New MTM (405 x 36 mm) brakes are on the front axle. The exhaust is also new and exits from the side.

All this rides on 22-inch BBS SV alloy wheels are wrapped with Michelin Latitude 295/40 tyres.

The Amarok V8 Passion will debut this week at the Geneva Motor Show.
