Ultraluxum CXL Luxury Trimaran Has A Garage For Your McLaren MP4-12C
UltraLuxum CXL trimaran takes the meaning of luxury sailing to an all-new level. Conceptualised by Jean-François Ruchonnet, the Ultraluxum CXL is a 48-metre fast cruising sailing trimaran, featuring lightweight materials such as carbon fiber.
The CXL is the first sailing trimaran of this size to be equipped with retractable outer hulls designed by McLaren Applied Technologies. The overall width in sailing configuration is 23m, that can be “collapsed” to 11m in harbour configuration.
What makes it also very special is an optional one car garage, that is perfect for your McLaren MP4-12C. For you and your friends, the CXL has a very luxurious interior with a master cabin, four guest cabins, three crew cabins, a lounge, dining room and of course a kitchen.
The 150 ton trimaran uses mainly wind power, but can be also equipped with an optional hybrid system that enables it to cruise at speeds up to 15knots.
If all goes as planned, the construction will soon start at the TAMSEN MARITIM SHIPYARD in Rostock, Germany.
