Twizy Renault Sport F1 concept revealed

Renault has unveiled the Twizy Renault Sport F1 concept, that was teased earlier this week.

The Twizy Renault Sport F1 concept is a fun take on the brand’s electric urban compact car, featuring muscular styling and impressive performance credentials.

The concept is KERS-equipped and the system is located where the rear seat is on the standard model, adding 30 kg of weight and an impressive 79bhp. The original electric motor remains unchanged and delivers 17bhp.

It also has a wild body kit with side pods, rear diffuser, big front and rear wings and a Formula Renault 3.5-inspired steering wheel with a “boost” button for KERS, enabling it to reach 68 mph at a max 10,000 rpm. Weighing at 564 kg, it is 91 kg heavier than the regular Twizy, but the power to weight ratio is now 1bhp/5.8kg, while the standard production model has 1bhp/25 kg ratio.
