Toyota reveals new concept cars for Tokyo Motor Show

Toyota has unveiled their concept line-up for this month’s Tokyo Motor Show.

Five of these show cars are new making their world premiere in Tokyo, while the i-Road and FT-86 Open Concept are already familiar to us, though Toyota calls the FT-86 Open Concept for some reason a world premiere. Probably because of the new paint job.

Five new vehicles are:
1. Toyota FCV (Fuel Cell Vehicle) Concept: Next-generation fuel-cell vehicle
2. Toyota FV2 (Fun Vehicle 2): Future car that connects with drivers
3. JPN TAXI Concept: Next-generation taxi
4. Voxy and Noah Concepts: Next-generation spacious minivans
5. Aqua G Sports: Compact hybrid sports car

The Aqua G Sports concept, based on the Prius C, will be launched in the Japanese market later this month and the i-Road electric has also been confirmed for production.

The future of open top GT86 is still uncertain and Toyota has not confirmed or denied actual production plans.
