Toyota GT86 saloon rendered - possible public debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show

Earlier this week Australian media site motoring.co.uk reported Toyota is about to approve production series of a GT86 saloon, which will be powered by the same 200bhp 2.0-litre boxer engine as the coupe and a new next-generation hybrid unit with around 268bhp taking inspiration from the Yaris Hybrid-R Concept.

The four-door saloon would have a stretched wheelbase by 100mm to make room for the rear doors and passengers.

The GT86 saloon could make its debut already next March at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The convertible version of the GT 86 is still on hold and it is very unlikely it will make it into production.

Talented Theophilus Chin has created few renderings of how the GT86 saloon will likely look like when it arrives in 2015. The black GT86 saloon rendering is from this week, while the red one was created already 2 years ago.
