Toyota GT86 saloon concept to debut at Dubai Motor Show this week

Reports about a four-door Toyota GT86 started circulating again last month with a possible debut for the production model at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

Looks like the GT86 saloon will make its debut in concept form already this week at the Dubai Motor Show.

Details are limited, but the official Facebook page of the Dubai International Motor Show has this above image, which claimed earlier that the four-door GT86 concept will make its regional unveil at the Dubai show.

Currently the text reads “The stand will feature a mixture of regional premiers, including the all-new 2014 Corolla, FT 86 Open Concept in addition to an extensive showcase of Hybrid technology.” Obviously it is not the two door Open concept or the new Corolla on this picture.

The GT86 saloon reportedly has a stretched wheelbase by 100mm with power coming from the familiar 200bhp 2.0-litre boxer engine and a new next-generation hybrid unit with around 268bhp taking inspiration from the Yaris Hybrid-R Concept.
