Toyota FT-1 concept makes its driving debut in the Gran Turismo 6 [video]

concept was clearly one of the biggest surprises at this year’s Detroit Auto Show. The show car was designed by Toyota’s California-based Calty design studio, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and the mission was to create the ultimate sports car.

The concept with its curvilinear form, large air intakes, exhaust ports and retractable rear wing looks just stunning. With front engine and rear-wheel drive configuration this is the car that everyone would love to see as the successor to the legendary Supra.

Toyota has not talked about a possible production model yet, but for those who love racing games this is a pretty big news here as the FT-1 is available to test drive in the recently launched new Gran Turismo 6.

The FT-1 is offered free if you’re able to receive a bronze or better in the FT-1 challenge at Laguna Seca. If you are not that good yet, then you can also purchase the virtual FT-1 from the in-game Toyota dealership.
