This is Britain's fastest Police car: Midlands police receives McLaren 12C Spider patrol car

Last year we showed you a McLaren 12C with Dubai police livery, that joined other exotic cars the oil rich country uses to patrol the streets.

Now the police in Midlands has received a similar car from a local McLaren dealer.

The 12C Spider is finished with the familiar police colours and even has the light bar on the roof. As it is a Spider we have a feeling it does not fold down well with the light bar.

The car made its debut this past weekend at 2014 Autosport International in Birmingham, UK and will be used by the Central Motorway Group officers in the Midlands.

The police-liveried McLaren has some extras on and would cost around £240,000.

The 12C Spider is perfect for high-speed chases with power coming from a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 delivering 600+bhp, taking it from 0-60mph in just 3.0 seconds on its way to a top speed of 204mph.
