Subaru LEVORG Concept teased for Tokyo Motor Show

Subaru has released first details and teaser image for the new sports tourer prototype called LEVORG ahead of its debut at next month’s Tokyo Motor Show.

According to Subaru, LEVORG has a sports car feel with the practicality of a touring car. The name LEVORG comes from a combination of Legacy, revolution and touring.

Power comes from a newly-developed 1.6-litre horizontally-opposed direct injection turbo engine. The LEVORG also packs next-generation EyeSight driver assist system, with many added safety functions and the newly launched steering support control.

The LEVORG is more than a concept and the production model is slated for market launch in 2014, for the Japan domestic market.

In addition to LEVORG, Subaru will also show two other concepts in Tokyo.

The Cross Sport design concept is Subaru’s vision of the next trend in Sports Utility Vehicles, while the third one is a seven-seater Crossover 7.
