Last week the new Mercedes-Benz AMG model codenamed c190 was caught for the first time testing in South Germany. The new model has been caught again this time benchmarking with the Nissan GT-R.
The new model, which reportedly does not have anything in common with the SLS AMG supercar will go against the likes of Porsche 911, Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R.
The new model, which a while ago was reportedly to be called SLC AMG will have a more modern look than the gullwing door SLS AMG with younger buyers in mind. It is also a bit smaller and will be lighter, thanks to a new aluminium spaceframe and the lack of complex gullwing doors.
Engine options will likely include either a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 or a twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8 with the engine output at around 500 horsepower.
The new AMG model has already many possible names including GT, SLC and SLR.
World debut is most likely in late 2014 with the convertible to follow roughly a year later, as well as a high spec Black Series model.
