Spy Shots: 2012 Ford Focus EV

The all-electric version of the next-generation Ford Focus will go on sale in the U.S. by the end of 2011 and in Europe by 2012. From these latest spy photos we can see that the Focus EV will get a unique front fascia compared to the standard model. Also camouflaged is the charging port.

The Focus EV will be built on the same production line as the standard Focus. The electric motor will be powered by a 23 kWh lithium-ion battery with liquid cooling sourced from LG Chem. Expected driving range is 100 miles.
