Spy Shots: 2012 Chevrolet Epica/Malibu Prototype
The 2012 Chevrolet Epica/Malibu prototype was spotted earlier today in Europe with temporary lights and heavy camouflage on the front and rear.
Compared to the current version the new model looks wider and longer. The new model will be marketed around the world either as Malibu or Epica and it rides on the same Epsilon II platform that underpins the Vauxhall Insignia.
Different sources claim that the new Epica/Malibu will be offered only with four-cylinder powertrains around the world – both naturally aspirated and turbocharged units will be available. No V6 and no big V8 for this new Chevy!
All-wheel-drive and hybrid version is also planned. World debut is most likely next month at the New York Auto Show. Until then take a look at the photos below.
