Skoda Octavia Greenline delivers an impressive 88.3mpg, priced from £20,150

Skoda has introduced the most economical version of the Octavia ever, the Octavia Greenline that is on sale now with prices starting from £20,150 on the road.

The most economical version of the Octavia is powered by a 108bhp 1.6-litre TDI engine equipped with a stop/start system and a brake energy recuperation system, delivering a very impressive 88.3 mpg (3.2 litres / 100 km) with CO2 emissions of just 85 g/km.

The car also has a BiK rating of 13% and VED Band A status means running costs will be very low.

Some of the other notable goodies include low rolling resistance tyres fitted to 16-inch ‘Velorum’ alloy wheels and cornering front fog lights are standard.

Skoda has come a long way since the Czech automaker was purchased by Volkswagen. The cars have a clean design, they are reliable, fuel efficient and quite affordable.
