Seat SUV confirmed for 2016

Following dozens of rumours, Seat has confirmed that they will have a compact SUV in its product line-up after working on its design and development for almost two years. The new model will go on sale in 2016.

This is a very interesting and growing segment with close to one million cars sold per per year in Europe alone, with an increase of more than 40 per cent over the past five years. The growth is expected to continue so Seat obviously wants a piece of it.

Little else is known about the Seat SUV, but it is expected to share its platform with Audi Q3, which is built for Audi in Spain at the Seat factory.
