SEAT Leon SC Revealed Ahead of Geneva Debut

SEAT has unveiled the all-new three-door Leon SC ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut next month. Compared to the five-door variant, the Leon SC has a 35mm shorter wheelbase, measuring 2600mm, while the overall length of the car is 4.23 metres.

The sharply raked roofline and the more steeply raked rear windscreen gives the car a sportier appearance, which does not jeopardize the boot space – in fact the Leon SC has an identical luggage area to the standard five-door variant, at 380 litres.

Engines carry over from the five-door variant, meaning there is the efficient 1.6 TDI equipped with Start/Stop System and Energy Recovery delivering 74.3 mpg and a 148bhp 2.0 TDI delivering 68.9 mpg and emits just 106 g/km.

Petrol options include a 104bhp 1.2-litre TSI, 138bhp 1.4-litre TSI and a 178bhp 1.8-litre TSI. Depending on the engine variant, power is sent to the front-wheels via five- or six-speed manual, or by the DSG dual-clutch automatic.

Just like the five-door Leon, the Leon SC will be offered in S, SE and FR specifications.

Pricing details will be announced next month.
