Saleen Automotive confirms electric car project, will be unlike anything else on the market

Saleen Automotive is known for their Ford Mustang based high-performance sports cars and S7 supercar.

Saleen has now confirmed earlier reports that they are currently in development to produce an electric vehicle for eventual distribution and sale.

Details are limited but CEO, Steve Saleen, did comment: “…we intend to enter the electric car market with an offering that is truly innovative and offers the styling and craftsmanship associated with the Saleen Automotive brand. The rapid pace of advancements in electric vehicle technology makes our entry into this market sector timely and should expedite completion of this project.”

The car will be revealed in concept form in early 2014 with a possible debut at the North American Motor Show in Detroit.

We are very curious to see it as the founder Steve Saleen also added “it is unlike anything currently in the marketplace,” and will “be revolutionary in its aesthetics and mechanics”.
