Rendered Speculation: 2013 Saab 9-1

Saab has big plans for the future. Last year, Victor Muller, CEO of Spyker Cars, which owns Saab said they will introduce a new small city car, that will go against the Mini and Audi A1.

Nothing is official at this point, but the rumor is that this small Saab will be known as the 9-1 and will be based atop the underpinnings of the Opel Astra hatchback.

The illustration above is purely speculative with current Saab styling. We expect to see prototypes of the 9-1 sometimes this year and then we’ll bring you a better rendering, that is actually based on the real thing.
