Renaultsport To Be Converted Into A Standalone Brand

Renaultsport division of Renault will soon go through a makeover as Renault is planning to convert this division into one stand-alone brand of its own. Beatrice Foucher, the product manager of Renault stated that Renaultsport is perceived as a brand of its own by many owners and hence they are thinking of developing it along that way.

According to the initial plan, Renaultsport will be having 2 or 3 exclusive models of its own and at the same time continue with its breathed on hatchbacks. Dezir is most probably going to be the first model to come out under new Renaultsport with new front end styling.

Dieppe, where Renaultsport’s production facility is located is going to be the home of this new car. Many believe this new strategy taken by Renault is nothing but an indirect result of Citroën’s success.
