Record Year! Volkswagen Group Sells More than 7 Million Vehicles in 2010

In 2010, the Volkswagen Group significantly improved on prior-year vehicle deliveries, handing over more than seven million units for the first time in a twelve-month period.

In total, 7.14 million vehicles were delivered to customers, an increase of 13.5 percent compared to 6.29 million vehicles delivered in 2009.

Deliveries in China grew 37.4 percent to 1.92 million vehicles (1.40 million vehicles in 2009. In South American 888,000 vehicles were delivered to customers, compared to 815,000 delivered in 2009. For full details see the press release below.
