The new Panamera S Hybrid combines a total power output of 380bhp with CO2 emissions of just 159 g/km, and best case fuel consumption of 41.54 mpg with the optional Michelin’s lower rolling resistance all season tyres, that were developed specially for the Panamera.
0-62 mph comes in 6.0 seconds and a top speed is 168 mph. On purely electric mode the range is approximately 1.25 miles, with a maximum speed of 53 mph in this mode.
The Panamera S Hybrid features the same engine combination as the new Cayenne S Hybrid – a supercharged three-litre V6 engine with 333bhp mated to a 47bhp electric motor. The electric motor also operates as a generator and a starter. Together with the separating clutch, it forms the compact hybrid module located between the combustion engine and the transmission.
The Panamera S Hybrid goes on sale in the UK in June, priced from £86,146. World debut is next month at the Geneva Motor Show.
