Porsche has released a new video showing the upcoming Macan testing on sand dunes and temperatures above 40°C in Dubai.
The prototype has very little disguise around the lights, hiding the final design details before its public debut at next month’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
As you can see the Macan has no problem tackling the sand dunes and temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius, though it is unlikely most future owners will ever take their car off pavement.
Riding on the same platform as the Audi Q5 it has a sloping roofline, aggressive front fascia, LED-infused headlights and a tailgate-mounted spoiler.
Engine details have not been confirmed yet, but there will be a range of six-cylinder diesel and petrol units, but naturally aspirated and turbocharged. A four-cylinder unit is also rumoured.
The Macan will enter production already in December with first cars arriving at dealerships soon after.
