Porsche Announces Boxster S Black Edition

Just recently Porsche introduced a 911 Black Edition. Current generation Boxster S is also getting a Black Edition, before an all-new model arrives late this year.

The Boxster S Black Edition is limited to 987 examples worldwide and on sale in UK from March, priced from £47,426. The black theme of this special edition can be seen in every detail, like model lettering painted in black on the rear luggage compartment, roll-over bars painted in black, together with the rear side air intake grilles and the twin tailpipe of the exhaust system. The black theme of the exterior also continues inside from stainless steel door entry guards that feature the “Black Edition” model lettering in black to black leather rim.

Power comes from a 3.4-litre six-cylinder engine with 320 hp – 10 hp more than in the Boxster S. 0-62 mph comes in 5.2 seconds with the standard six-speed manual transmission, in 5.1 seconds with the seven-speed PDK double-clutch gearbox, and in 4.9 seconds when fitted with the Sports Chrono Package Plus with launch control.
