Porsche Announces 911 Black Edition

Before the next generation 911 arrives, Porsche will make the most of current generation. The 911 Black Edition will be built in just 1,911 examples and is based on the 911 Carrera Coupe and Cabriolet.

The 911 Black Edition comes in two colour options – both of them black. Plain black as standard, or Basalt Black metallic available as an option.

Power comes from a 345bhp 3.6-litre flat-six engine. Coupled with the six-speed gearbox, both Coupe and Cabriolet versions will see a top speed of 180mph. The Coupe reaches 62mph in 4.9 seconds and the Cabriolet in 5.1 seconds. With PDK, the Coupe accomplishes the sprint in only 4.7 seconds, the Cabrio in 4.9 seconds.

Other highlights are black brake calipers, 19-inch alloys from the 911 Turbo and a black leather interior. This special edition 911 is priced from £67,270 for the Coupe and £74,958 for the Cabriolet, sales will start in April.
