Porsche 918 Spyder is one of the most anticipated supercars to arrive next year. Porsche has been testing the 918 Spyder at various locations and has finally started testing the plug-in hybrid supercar at the extreme Nürburgring.
This time the 918 Spyder has the Martini livery and was driven by racing legend and Porsche test driver Walter Röhrl. We wouldn’t be surprised to hear soon, that the hot 918 Spyder is the new Nürburgring lap record holder.
The 918 Spyder features a plug-in hybrid drivetrain, that combines a 570bhp 4.6 litre V8 engine and two electric motors for a total power output of 770bhp. 0-62mph comes in less than 3.0sec and the top speed is over 201mph. Range on EV mode is up to 15 miles.
The 918 Spyder will be available only in left-hand drive format with production scheduled to start at the end of September 2013. Priced from 645k euro (plus VAT) it will be limited to no more than 918 units.
