Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid Version 2.0 Revealed

Porsche is brining an upgraded 911 GT3 R Hybrid called the Version 2.0 to the 24 hours of Nürburgring. Sounds like a software update almost!

The upgraded 911 GT3 R Hybrid features a 470bhp 4.0 litre flat-six boxer engine and two electric motors that produce a combined output of 150 kW (200bhp) which is 30 kW (40bhp) more than the previous model.

The flat-six engine powers the rear wheels, while the electric motors motivate the front wheels. Basically the pilots have almost an additional 200 hp at their disposal with the 911 GT3 R Hybrid 2.0. that can automatically activated through use of the throttle pedal. Moreover, pilots can manually call up this extra power, for instance when overtaking.

The new model weighs 1,300kg, which is 50kg less than the previous car.
