Peugeot Exalt hybrid concept revealed ahead of Beijing debut

Peugeot’s mystery concept for Beijing Motor Show is named Exalt and here are full details about this new fourdoor hybrid concept.

The Exalt hybrid concept exterior features exposed steel body hand-beaten into shape, with some of the body parts covered in “Shark Skin”, an efficient textile which improves aerodynamic performance and reduces fuel consumption.

The concept is 4.73m in length and 1.31m in height, with a height of just 1.31m. Weighing 1,700kg, the concept is powered by a petrol HYbrid4 drive train with a combined power output of 340bhp. The 4-cylinder, 1.6-litre THP turbocharged petrol engine delivers 270bhp and electric motor at the rear axle 50kW. Power is sent to the wheels via six-speed automatic.

The cockpit is finished with natural wool-based “chiné” mixed fabric, aged leather, carbon fibre, bare steel and ebony. the digital instrument cluster features two folding touchscreen displays, with upper one for the infotainment functions while the lower unit is for the Pure Blue air purification system and climate control.

The Exalt concept will debut next week at the Beijing Motor Show.
