Peugeot 308 R Concept revealed ahead of Frankfurt debut

Peugeot has unveiled the hot 308 R Concept ahead of its Frankfurt Motor Show debut next month.

The 308 R Concept is based on the new 308 hatchback, featuring a 270bhp 1.6-litre turbo four with nearly 170hp/litre and CO2 emissions of 145g/km. The same engine powers the recently unveiled hot RCZ R.

Other changes compared to the standard model include a new lowered suspension, track widened by 30 mm, new carbon fibre bodywork, upgraded brakes, 19-inch alloy wheels and a two-tone exterior treatment, combining red and black.
