Nissan ZEOD RC is a unique race car for next year's Le Mans [video]

Nissan has revealed first pictures and details about their nee project called ZEOR RC that will be racing in 2014 Le Mans 24 Hour.

Powertrain details are limited but it is already known the ZEOD RC will utilise the same lithium battery technology as used in the award-winning Nissan Leaf and multiple electric drivetrain technologies will be tested before the unique looking car hits the track.

According to Nissan the ZEOD RC is the world’s fastest electric racing car that will achieve speeds in excess of 300km/h (186 mph).

ZEOD in the name stands for “Zero Emissions On Demand”.

The Nissan ZEOD RC will make its testing debut later this summer and will participate in new entry slot called “Garage 56” for experimental tech at the 2014 Le Mans 24 Hour.
