Nissan and Williams join forces to co-develop new Nismo models

Nissan has slowly been increasing the Nismo high-performance model line-up, which currently includes 370Z, Juke and in Japan also March(Micra).

We already know Nissan is preparing a hot GT-R Nismo. Reportedly a Juke Nismo RS is also in development.

To speed up the development Nissan and Williams have joined forces to co-develop future Nismo models.

Details are limited, but Nissan says collaboration will help accelerate the growth of the Nismo brand across the globe and enhance Nissan’s reputation for innovation by incorporating cutting edge Formula One based technologies and processes into Nissan’s high performance road cars.

Williams has a track record of bringing high performance road and race cars to market with short lead times and was chosen by Nissan because of its expertise in areas such as aerodynamics, simulation and material science.

First cars that will benefit from Williams Advanced Engineering are scheduled for launch worldwide from 2014 and beyond.
