Next Honda Civic Type-R prototype was spotted earlier today testing near Honda’s technical center at the Nürburgring. The prototypes spotted are early chassis testing mules, wearing a huge rear spoiler.
As the current Civis is only available as a five-door version and there are no plans for a three-door version, it means new Type-R will be based on the five-foor model.
The new Civic Type-R will have special bumper, wheels, spoilers and seats in addition to retuned suspension.
Power is expected to come from a new turbocharged 1.6 or 2.0 litre unit with well over 210 horsepower. Prices are expected to start from around £23,000.
We expect to see more prototypes with more Type R exterior parts in the near future. Stay with us for more details!
