Next BMW X6 spied for the first time

Here we have our first spy shots of the second-generation BMW X6, which was caught testing on the Nürburgring and later near the BMW’s test centre next to new X5 M prototypes.

The next X6 follows a similar formula like the first-generation model, featuring a sloping coupe like profile with similar updates as the new third-generation BMW X5, which made its debut back in May.

The headlights are similar to the new X5, as well as the front grille and daytime running lights.

As with the outgoing model the interior will most likely carry over with minor changes. Basically the main difference is the coupe-like profile, which does real damage in case you are looking for an SUV kind of luggage space.

Engine range is expected to carry over largely from the new X5. Self-leveling air suspension is also rumoured on top spec models.

Public debut is most likely in the second half of 2014.
