New Volkswagen Golf GTI driven by Chris Harris [video]

New seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf GTI is priced from £25,845 and available to order since April.

It is lighter, faster and more fuel efficient than the outgoing model.

Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine, that in the standard model delivers 217bhp and in the GTI Performance version packs 227bhp.
