New Subaru Forester Debuts in Los Angeles, UK Launch Next Summer

The fourth-generation Subaru Forester comes with improved performance, safety and efficiency and a larger, more practical cabin.

Making its debut this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Subaru has confirmed the new Forester will be launched in UK with a 148bhp 2.0-litre Boxer diesel and petrol units, as well as a new 276bhp 2.0-litre direct injection turbocharged petrol engine.

Both of the naturally-aspirated engines will feature a six-speed manual transmission as standard, while Lineartronic (CVT) transmission is available on both petrol engines.

The new Subaru Forester will go on sale in the UK from summer 2013. Pricing will be announced closer to market launch.
