New Skoda Octavia Estate Revealed

Skoda has released first pictures and details of the new Octavia Estate, ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut in early March.

Compared to the outgoing model, the new Octavia Estate is 90 mm longer, 45 mm wider, while the wheelbase has grown by almost 11 cm. The size of boot is 610 litres and when the rear backrests are down can be increased to an impressive 1,740 litres.

The boot features double-sided floor mat, comprehensive net restraint system, multiple bag hooks, a waste bin and numerous bottle holders. There are even multimedia device holders, an ice scraper in the fuel tank opening and a warning-vest holder under the driver’s seat.

The front view is identical to the new Hatch, while the roofline slopes gently towards the rear and passes over into the D-pillar.

The Ocativa Estate will be available with the same petrol and diesel engines found in the hatchback. A fuel efficient GreenLine version will reach a consumption of only 83.1mpg and CO2 emissions of only 89 g/km.

Skoda will also reveal a 4×4 version of the Octavia Estate in Geneva with a newly developed all-wheel drive and fifth-generation Haldex clutch.
