Compared to the standard Range Rover, the Sport has more aggressive lines, sharply angled roof and also it looks like the lights are narrower. The front reveals a different bumper and air intakes and at the rear we can see a big spoiler at the rear window.
The updated lightweight aluminium platform is shared with the new Range Rover, that also underprins the Jaguar XJ.
Engine details are limited, but the entry level model is rumoured to get a new turbocharged V6 diesel engine with 255bhp. Another diesel unit expected is a V8 twin-turbo with 335bhp.
The already familiar supercharged V8 could get a power increase to around 550bhp. This would put it in the same level as the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S.
World debut is very likely sometimes in the first half of 2013.
