New Porsche 911 GT3 Revealed, Priced From £100,540

New fifth generation Porsche 911 GT3 has been revealed at a special VW event in Geneva, with entirely new engine, transmission, body and chassis.

Power comes from a naturally-aspirated 468bhp 3.8-litre flat engine mated to Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) double-clutch gearbox, and high-traction rear-wheel drive. Unfortunately there is no manual.

0-62mph comes in just 3.5 seconds, 0-124 mph in less than 12 seconds. The top speed is an impressive 195 mph. The lap time on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife is less than 7:30 minutes.

Other highlights include rear-wheel steering, which at speeds of up to 31 mph steers the rear wheels into the opposite direction of the front wheels, enabling the 911 GT3 enter the curve faster, which permits more dynamic cornering. At speeds above 50 mph, the system steers the rear wheels parallel to the front wheels, increasing stability particularly at high speeds.

The new Porsche 911 GT3 is available to order now from Porsche Centres priced from £100,540. First right cars are scheduled for deliveries in November.
