New Peugeot 308 revealed ahead of Frankfurt debut

Peugeot has unveiled first official images and details of a completely new 308, which builds on the new design language of Peugeot. The front features a floating front grille, strong lines and slim full LED headlamps. At the rear there are three Peugeot lion ‘claws’ drawn by the rear LED lamps.

Thanks to new EMP2 modular platform the new 308 is up to 140kg lighter than the outgoing model. The new cockpit-style cabin features premium materials and a clean button-less interior thanks to a 9.7-inch touch-screen interface, which removes much of the need for physical buttons and switches.

According to Vincent Devos, New 308 Product Manager, everything is arranged for an experience that is intuitive, relaxing the driver to focus entirely on the road ahead.

Engine details are limited, but one model will be offering CO2 emissions as low as 85g/km.

The New Peugeot 308 will make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 10th September 2013 with sales starting soon after.
