New Mercedes-Benz S-Class with up to 720bhp by Brabus

The new Mercedes S-Class has been on sale for a short time with prices starting from £79,789.50. The S63 AMG with 585bhp will follow soon and is scheduled to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Before the new S-Class has even arrived at local dealers, Brabus has released their first tuning packages for the new Mercedes S-Class.

There are new wheels with diameters up to 21 inches, exclusive interior options, aerodynamic updates and also several performance kits for the V8 Biturbo engines raising power all the way to 720bhp.

The first kit is a plug-and-play BRABUS B50 – 520 PowerXtra CGI performance kit that adds an extra 65 horsepower for the 4.7-litre eight-cylinder Biturbo engine of the S500. As a result power jumps from 449bhp to 520bhp. Torque grows to 820 Nm. 0-62 mph comes in 4.2 seconds. The BRABUS Vmax unit that is part of the engine conversion allows limiting the top speed electronically to 155, 168 or 186 mph.

Top of the range tuning kit for the S63 AMG is called BRABUS B63S, raising power all the way to 720bhp, while peak torque is limited electronically to 1,965 Nm. Top speed is limited electronically to a maximum of 202 mph.
