New Mercedes-Benz GL-Class Priced From £59,465

New generation GL-Class is now available to order, with production starting in January 2013. Two models will be available: the GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport and the GL 63 AMG.

The new GL 350 BlueTEC AMG is priced from £59,465, while the GL 63 AMG is available from £91,680.

The new GL measures 21 mm longer and 10 mm taller that the model it replaces, and has a boot capacity increased by 60 litres.

The GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport packs 258bhp from a 3.0-litre unit while the hot GL 63 AMG packs 557bhp from a 5.5-litre V8. 0-62mph comes in just 4.9 seconds and the top speed is 155mph.

The GL 350 BlueTEC AMG Sport standard equipment now includes Intelligent Light System with bi-xenon headlamps and LED daytime running lights, AMG bodystyling, 21-inch AMG light-alloys, privacy glass, an electric glass sunroof; AirMATIC air suspension, Parktronic with Active Park Assist and COMAND Online with media interface and DAB digital radio tuner.

The all-new GL 63 AMG boasts flared wheel arches with 21-inch AMG five-twin-spoke light-alloys in Titanium Grey, AMG high-performance braking system, Active Curve System with AirMATIC, which compensates the roll angle of the vehicle body when driving round bends, and an AMG sports exhaust system with two chromed twin tailpipes.

The interior also has typical AMG upgrades, including an AMG Performance steering wheel, silver-coloured gear shift paddles, AMG sports seats, front and second row heated seats, front seats with massage function and luxury automatic climate control.
