New Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate spied again, plus leaked Saloon pictures

The next-generation Mercedes C-Class has been seen testing at various locations and even completely undisguised during a photo shoot.

Here we have the latest spy shots of the C-Class Estate, which still wears a good deal of camouflage and is expected to debut in the second half of 2014.

The C-Class Estate shows the same new Mercedes exhausts as we already caught on the undisguised silver C-Class Saloon.

In addition to these new spy shots we are bringing you leaked pictures of the saloon ahead of its rumoured online reveal next week and public debut next month at the Detroit Auto Show.

According to Auto55.be, the new C-Class rides on a new platform that has a 8cm longer wheelbase and overall weight is up to 100kg less thanks to lightweight parts and materials like aluminium body panels.

From launch the new C-Class will be offered with a 157bhp 1.6-litre turbo petrol, 186bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 170bhp 2.2-litre diesel. AMG version with around 450bhp is also to follow later.

Visually the new C-Class is very similar to the new S-Class, just in a more compact package, taking also design cues from the new E-Class and CLA.

The rear end is quite similar to the CLA, while the tail lights remind us the new S-Class.
