New Mercedes C-Class Estate caught less disguised

The new Mercedes C-Class (W205) saloon is now in production at the Mercedes-Benz Bremen plant in Germany and soon will be made at four sites on four continents.

The new C-Class saloon starts from £26,855 and three model lines will be offered from launch – SE, Sport and the AMG Line.

The Estate version will follow soon and here we have the clearest and most revealing spy shots. The front of the car, which obviously is identical to the saloon has no camouflage at all for the first time and the only part camouflaged is the rear, but we still get a good sense what is under this black disguise.

Engine range will carry over from the saloon so from launch there will be three units to choose from:
-C 220 BlueTEC with a 170bhp 2.2-litre 4-cylinder diesel
-C 180 with a 156bhp 1.6-litre petrol
-C 200 with a 184bhp 2.0-litre petrol

The C 200 BlueTEC, C 250 BlueTEC and C 300 BlueTEC HYBRID will follow later.

We wouldn’t be surprised if the new C-Class Estate debuts next month in Geneva or in April at the New York Auto Show.
