New Mercedes-Benz C-Class Caught On The 'Ring

The next-generation Mercedes Benz C-Class(W205) has been spotted again, this time testing on the extreme Nürburgring in Germany.

The prototype is still heavily disguised with temporary rear lights and lots of camouflage. Despite that, we can see the new C-Class will keep model’s overall proportions and when it comes to design we don’t expect to see anything revolutionary.

As with the current C-Class a wide range of diesel and petrol units will be offered. There will be a new hybrid as well and an eight-speed automatic transmission (nine-speed is also rumoured).

Top of the line AMG model will use the 5.5-litre V8 with around 450bhp.

Thanks to extensive use of lightweight materials and an aluminium construction the new C-Class will be lighter than the outgoing model.

New C-Class is expected to arrive in 2014 and will be available as a saloon, estate, coupe and a convertible.
