New Low Budget Volkswagen Model For China and India Spied

Volkswagen is developing a new low budget model for China and India which was caught testing in Spain. The new model is based on the same platform as the new seventh-generation Golf.

The fully disguised prototype looks like a mixture between an estate and a hatch with a very angular rear window.

The new model is expected to arrive in 2014.

Last month Germany’s Der Speigel magazine reported, that Volkswagen Group is close to announcing the establishment of a new low cost brand to rival Dacia.

The low cost brand could be used in addition to China and India also in Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe.

It is purely speculative to say is this prototype part of a new brand name or not. Time well tell, so stay tuned for more!
