New Lancia Stratos Unveiled at Paul Ricard Circuit (Video)
The new Lancia Stratos made its debut at a private event on November 29-30, at the Paul Ricard Circuit in Le Castellet, France. The new Stratos started as an idea already in 2003, after playing with the idea for few years German businessman Michael Stoscheck commissioned Pininfarina to build this unique sports car.
Today only one model exists, but if there’s enough interest, the new Stratos could be built in limited production.
Underneath the carbon fibre body is a modified Ferrari F430 Scuderia platform and a 4.3-litre V8 with 523bhp, which is enough to propel the modern day Stratos from 0-62 mph in just 3.3 seconds.
In addition a scale model in rally livery was also on the show floor, meaning a new Stratos racecar is also planned.
