New Hyundai Genesis saloon spied undisguised

New Hyundai Genesis saloon has been spied undisguised during a film shooting around the Nürburgring at different locations. We expect to see the official video sometimes next month.

Finished in a grey colour, the car has letters G380 HTRAC at the rear. G380 stands for a 3.8-litre V6 and the HTRAC is Hyundai’s all-wheel drive system, which will be made available for the first time on the new Genesis. The ‘H’ in the name stands for ‘Hyundai’, and ‘TRAC’ is a shortened form of the word ‘Traction.

A more powerful V8 will be offered as well and it is very likely a hybrid model will join the range as well.

Big news for European customers is that the new Genesis saloon will be offered here as well.

The new Genesis saloon is the first Hyundai to feature the new ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0’ exterior design language. We can see the new singular hexagonal grille, while the overall look is more elegant.

Some of the tech and safety features part of the new Genesis saloon include advanced seatbelt functions such as Emergency Fastening Device system (EFD), Pre-Safe seatbelt, Advanced Traction Cornering Control (ATCC) and Rack-mounted Motor Driven Electric Power Steering (R-MDPS).
