New Ford Mustang to debut worldwide on December 5, first-ever Mustang for sale in Europe

Ford will reveal the next-generation Mustang to the world on December 6, worldwide in six cities including Barcelona, where Ford of Europe will hold a “Go Further” event to introduce new vehicles and technologies.

The sixth generation of the iconic car celebrates 50 years of production next year and is the first-ever Mustang for sale in Europe.

“Mustang has come to be much more than just a car for its legions of fans spanning the globe from New Zealand to Iceland and Shanghai to Berlin,” said Jim Farley, Ford global vice president of Marketing, Sales and Service. “When you experience Mustang, it ignites a sense of optimism and independence that inspires us all. We have kicked off the countdown to the all-new Ford Mustang – with a new design, greater refinement, performance and innovative new technologies, Mustang is ready for the next 50 years.”

The first generation Mustang was revealed in 1964 and quickly become an iconic car.

Engine range will reportedly include a new four-cylinder EcoBoost, 3.7-litre V6 and 5.0-litre V8.
