New EU spec Kia Soul to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show

Kui unveiled the new Soul earlier this year at the New York Auto Show.

The EU spec model will debut next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it will be a little different than the North American model. In Europe a new Styling Pack (pictured above) is available, which features piano black bumper trim, side skirts, wheel arches and black painted rood.

The all-new Kia Soul urban crossover stays true to the outgoing model’s upright stance and is inspired by the 2012 Kia Track’ster concept.

The biggest change for the new Soul is the adoption of an all-new platform, based on that of the latest Kia cee’d. As a result the Soul has improved ride and handling compared with the outgoing model.

No performance specs were released yet, but latest versions of Kia’s 1.6-litre GDi petrol and CRDi diesel engines will be available linked to six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

New Soul will go on sale in early 2014.
