New Citroen C4 Picasso revealed

Citroen has released full details and pictures of new C4 Picasso with a new bold design, featuring LED daytime running lights above the larger lights, LED rear lights.

Compared to the outgoing model, the new C4 Picasso is a 40mm shorter and also a bit lower, though the wheelbase has been increased by 55m, along with wider tracks (+82mm at front and +31mm at the rear).

Thanks to a longer wheelbase, the rear has more legroom and the boot space is up by 40 litres to 537 litres. When the rear seats are slide forwards it is increased to 630 litres.

Moving on to the interior you will notice a panoramic windscreen and large glass roof along with front massage seats with the exclusive Lounge Pack.

New C4 Picasso also has a full digital driving interface, featuring two screens – a 7-inch touchpad and 12-inch panoramic HD screen.

The 7-inch touchpad controls all the in-car functions such as dual-zone air conditioning, navigation, audio, telephone and driving aids, while the bigger 12-inch HD screen displays general driving information.

Thanks to the new body style and and new EMP2 platform the new C4 Picasso is 140kg lighter than its predecessor.

With the new e-HDi 90 Airdream engine linked to a 6-speed clutchless gearbox, the new C4 Picasso is the first compact MPV to deliver sub-100g/km CO2 emissions with a fuel economy of 74mpg. The popular e-HDi 115 engine emits 104g/km CO2 and delivers 70mpg.

The new Citroen C4 Picasso goes on sale this summer, while the bigger seven-seat C4 Grand Picasso is expected to follow end of 2013 or in early 2014.
