New Chevrolet Corvette Stingray vs Porsche 911, Audi R8 and Jaguar F-type [video]

The new seventh-generation Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is an impressive sports car.

The new Corvette Stingray is powered by an all-new 460 horsepower 6.2L LT1 V8 engine with 630Nm of torque linked to a 7-speed manual transmission, enabling it to hit 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds. Prices start from £61,495, making it a very affordable alternative to European alternatives, the Porsche 911 Carrera S, Audi R8 V8 and Jaguar F-Type V8S Coupe.

So how does it stack up against Europe’s finest?

Autocar’s Steve Sutcliffe takes a look at the new Vette and European alternatives below to see can it out-accelerate and out-brake a Porsche 911, does it sound better than a Jaguar F-Type and can it out-handle an Audi R8?
